Super 8mm (digitised), sound | Running Time: 12 minutes
Verdigris is a digitised Super 8mm film, shot largely during a residency in Paris. Drifting through the city, it explores how architecture shapes movement and how digression can operate as a subtle form of resistance.
Through textured, meandering imagery and layered soundscapes - grounded in Situationist histories and interlaced with subjects and sites from the films of Agnès Varda and Marguerite Duras - the film meditates on dailiness, standardisation, time, and control, suggesting that movement through the city is never neutral.
